Dr Helen Chen

Dr. Helen Chen was born in Beijing, China and moved to Vancouver as a teen.  She completed medical school at the University of British Columbia and family medicine residency at the University of Calgary.  She is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UBC.  She has practiced full-service family medicine since 2000 with special interests in women’s health, cross-cultural health, office procedures and clinical teaching.  Outside of work, she tries to be active, and enjoys travelling, gardening, going to concerts and various art performances.  She has been happily married for over twenty years. and has two teenage children.
